Bridge for Africa BBO Tournaments
Using experienced African BBO tournament directors, Bridge for Africa will be scheduling 21 board BBO tournaments each week, each with an entry fee of BB$ 1.50 per player and no requirement to be a paid up member of a club, union or federation.
Bridge for Africa BBO tournaments take place on Mondays at 19h00 and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14h00 Cape Town / Harare / Cairo time. You can click here to enter Bridge for Africa BBO tournaments. We will be adding more tournaments to the schedule. You can use our Feedback page to tell us your preferred dates and times for tournaments.
If your club runs BBO sessions you could run them as unrestricted Bridge for Africa BBO sessions advertised on the Bridge for Africa website and in our newsletters in order to get more participants (contact us to discuss)
Bridge for Africa is donating 10% of BBO income, after tournament director and BBO fees have been paid, to be shared equally among African bridge players who will be representing their countries at the World Bridge Championships in Argentina in October 2024 and who have played at in at least 10 of our BBO tournaments.
The results of each of these tournaments will be recorded in the Bridge for Africa Pianola database and the results sent by E-mail to players whose E-mail addresses are recorded in our player database (contact us if you would like your name added).
There will be monthly competitions open to all who play at least five times during the month.
Players from across Africa and beyond are welcome to play in these tournaments. We look forward to seeing you taking part!
