Bridge for Africa BBO and RealBridge Online Tournaments
Using experienced African BBO tournament directors, Bridge for Africa (BfA) hosts several 24 board BBO tournaments each week, with an entry fee of BB$ 1.50 per player and no requirement to be a paid up member of a club, union or federation.
BfA BBO tournaments take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14h00 Cape Town / Harare / Cairo time. You can click here to enter Bridge for Africa BBO tournaments. We'd like to add more tournaments to the schedule. You can use our Feedback page to tell us your preferred dates and times for tournaments.
In addition BfA hosts a RealBridge pairs tournament each Saturday at 14h00; To play, please contact Rod Pienaar beforehand on 079 673 5077. It's only R25 for the session.
The results of each of these tournaments are recorded in the BfA Pianola database and the results sent by E-mail to players whose E-mail addresses are recorded in our player database (contact us if you would like your name added). There are monthly competitions open to all who play several times during the month
If your club runs BBO or RealBridge sessions you could run them as unrestricted BfA online sessions advertised on the BfA website and in our newsletters in order to get more participants (contact us to discuss).
Players from across Africa and beyond are welcome to play in these tournaments. We look forward to seeing you taking part!
